During year 11 pupils will spend most of their
Guidance lessons preparing for their transition to key stage 5 or the world
of work. Pupils will expand on some topics studied in year 10 including
study skills and family planning. Pupils will visit Neath
Port Talbot College, apply for a place on a course of their choice and be
interviewed for that course in school. They will also prepare a leaving
portfolio for their Progress File including a sample personal statement, CV
and a record of their secondary achievements. In the summer term pupils
will spend their remaining lessons revising for their forthcoming
exams.
